Assessing the impact of the securitization narrative on climate change adaptation in Nigeria

In Nigeria, the threat posed by climate change is leading policymakers and media to frame as a security that warrants support for adaptive actions. We draw upon securitization theory examine how narratives affect adaptation. Using primary secondary data, we find although arguments are easily identified in policies action plans implications of adaptation policy practice harder discern. not urgent would be expected from logic securitization.
